new seats issue

i recently bought a pair of new seats for my '89 rs, and if anybody could give me suggestions on the best way to go about installing them i'd appreciate it. the issue is that they came with just the rails on the bottom and the original seats have mounts riveted to the rails on the passenger seat and the back of the driver seat, but on the front of the driver seat the rails are extended and bend down to bolt on... So... should i just drill out the rivets and bolt the mounts to the new seats, buy new mounts (maybe they're called brackets?), fabricate something, or what?

thanks for the help...

Re: new seats issue

What brand of seats??
Factory replacement from another car??

Most " factory-style" & custom // aftermarket will advise to use
factory sliders, rails, brackets, OR will want measurements to fab
custom rails // sliders // brackets.

Maybe if you can post a few pics of the areas in question,
someone with same // similar situation can help.

Good luck & show off the goods!!
