Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!

It will be sometime after the first of the year.

One of the vendors they use is completely shut down for the holidays they said.

It sounded like the 82-89 is ready to go expect for the last part. The 91/92 was still awaiting a few parts from other vendors.

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!

lol i'm still having trouble making up my mind whether to stay w/ the stock dash or go for the digi in my 88. I love the Look of the Red Digi dash from NordSkog (this will be same setup and everything). But the Stock looks great once u paint the stuff and switch to LEDs.. and nothing beats seeing the needle go round.

As for sensors.
He says stock fuel, and stock oil.
They will supply temp, and speedo.

I have asked more info on the speedo part for people who do not have stock wire systems (IE LS1 swaps, aftermarket pcms).

Attached is a picture of user Timmie's dash in red.
SUWEET picture

just for the record, only sensor I had to change was the temp sensor wich needed to be one of those universal ones. if you dont change it, it wont read right.

for the 90-92 cluster you have to do a bit of grinding on 1 side of the dash to make it fit. normally you would be able to go easely back to stock.

I think if you have a spare dash wich you use to convert to digital. and keep your original dash. I could do the swap in less then half an hour.
but this would be with changing the complete cluster.

if you only use 1 dash housing, its gonna take a little longer.
you not only need to place your old gauges pack into the housing. In my case I need to put some of my stupid lights ( check engine and stuff ) back. ( I cut them off the original gauges and put them back with the digital gauge in place.

for the people with a cable driven speedo. I think all camaro's have somekind of limiter build into their chip.
this means your ecm gets signals from something about how fast your going.
this means that your chip gets pulses from somewhere.
pulses == what the digital dash uses to see how fast you are going

you guys can do the math from here on out.

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!

im new on here but im a big fan when it comes to camaro's and other chevys. i purchased a 92 camaro rs with a 3.1l engine and its in bad shape but ive been working on it and got it running again but still needs a lot of work. ive been read this forum and im in need of a 92 cluster because my tach dont work and speedo goes out a lot. and i thought it be cool to put a digital cluster like the ones yall are talking bout into my car. been looking around for one for a while and havent found one yet. so i was wondering if they have the clusters out yet?

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!

new to the site, but not new to the 3rd gen Camaro's (the 92 RS that i have now is my 3rd Camaro).
i have been trying to track down a 145 mph Z28 speedo to swap into the RS, but i haven't wanted to drop 300 on it plus shipping from the only place ive found them at... i think i'm gonna hold off and get the new Digital set when it comes out. not sure what color i'm gonna go with, but after seeing what they should look like, i'm sold!

had a few spare minutes, so i took care of my tax return online. my return is gonna be in my account in like 2 weeks, so i'll definitely have the cash for the cluster when they are released.

Ok, finally got word back the 82-89/90 ones are all finished and should be up forsale soon.

The 90-92 are still waiting for the last outsourced part, but making some of the last final tweeks while waiting on that part.

Ok, I'm going to say this because no one else has. With so many thirdgen members interested in these clusters (me included), I don't get why a rep from intellatronix on this board and start fielding some of our questions. WE are going to account for some nice sales from their company, and Dale shouldn't be getting plagued with our all our inquiry and impatience. And don't get me wrong- I am very thankful for Dale taking the time to answer all of our questions and bring this product to our attention.
