Do I have to contact them directly to order the 92 ~ 89 Instrument Cluster? Also does anyone know how high the RPM gauge goes too?
Thanks

I talked to them a few days ago, and the 90-92 cluster is still 3-4 weeks away.

I got a reply back from them today. Family emergency has kept him out for a little while. His words were "Three weeks, I promise!"

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!
I wonder if the 82-90 model of digi dash will work in my 84 camaro berlinetta. The car already has a digi dash but I am sure it will die soon as this is my third one in about 13 yrs. Is there a link to view these digital dashes, looking for prices and such.

VERY interested in this!! Will this work with the CANADIAN 245km (140mph)? I noticed the gas gauge, oil, and battery are also numbered, how would you know if you are low on oil pressure, or battery, or gas without the dial readout?
How does it read out the dial for those without having to know what your oil pressure should be, or what your gas is.. Speaking of gas, how does it list the gas.. by liter's remaining?

wil it work, yes and no.
yes, when you program it you have to drive exactly 1 mile. this way it knows how far a mile is and how fast your going.
instead drive 1km, and it wil count in km/H
what doesn't work right is that it will count 0-60 km/u .stead of 0/60 mph
and it wil count 1/4km instead of 1/4 mile.
the meter itself ( when it was nordskog ) could go up to 500km/u and even faster without trouble. dont know how accurate it is at that speed. ( if you will ever make it , tell me )
the fuel level is counted from 99 - 0 percentage full.
battery is in volts, underneath 12 volts the gauge will start flashing.
oil pressure is 0 - 99 psi ( so its like the orignal )
water temp is 0 - 260 degrees fahrenheit. ( but with nordkog you could ask for it in celcius if you wanted it). all gauges in my case where deadly accurate. rechecked them with my laptop on the car

Would it work to just get the gauges in white, and then use a colored permanent marker to color the leds to whichever colors you want?

The way I have seen its designed, I dont think that will work. What you might beable to do is put a thin sheet of colored film from a hobby store between the led's and smoked plexi cover.

Well, they have the part # and everything for the digital gauges posted on the site now. I'm going to try and call the sales department later today when they are open and if they have them in stock. I will be ordering one today. I'll let you all know.

"Hello! Yes, the price is $395.00 and we are ready to take orders (not listed on eBay yet, because we have the first batch pre-sold already). Are you looking for white digits with white bar graphs? Thanks, Olga"

Looks like I'll be ordering one next month, came across a great deal for some ceramic hooker headers. I allow myself one expensive purchase for the car per month.
Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!
I emailed these guys a few days ago, trying to find out more about these things, and I have gotten no response?
I want to use the 82-89 set up. I search for Intellitronix in this forum, and it tells me there is nothing here, yet I come across these posts when I search for digital gauges. I want to know more info about hooking it up to my 4L60E.

if you install it properly you just have to drive 1 mile with the car while in learning mod. the more accurate you drive that mile, the more accurate the gauges wil run.
if you drive more then a mile, it wil run to slow, if you run less then a mile the gauge wil go to fast.
if you put bigger tires on the rear or another rearend , you just need to drive a mile again in learning mod.

Are these going to be a complete unit and a direct replacement? When will these be available for the 1982-1984 Trans Ams and Firebirds

You have to take your housing, and mount there circuit boards in them from what I understand. Atleast on the camaros, there is some slight cutting that will need done from what I understood before.
I have no clue on the Pontiac side. Ive not discussed that with them. Will send email for you.

I really want to see a reasonably priced digital gauge cluster option for the Firebirds.

Yes. I have seen the ad but they once again are basically false advertising. They are being advertised as DIRECT REPLACEMENTS. However they are NOT direct replacements. If they were, you simply plug them in and done. They must be wired in (not easy), wired into multiple parts of the electrical system, and engine sensors and from what I have heard, many people have problems.

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!
If they are stating direct replacements doesn't have to mean little work involved, thats were plug and play comes in, but yes I could forgive the extra work needed if they werent having issues but that is a problem. Time for development team to get off their seats and fix the issues then. I dunno know, is there a big enough differences in how the gauges plug in through out the year range-besides mech and electrical speedos. If there is enough changes that might be as plug and play as it can be other then being truely year specific. Not trying to argue, some of that is a question. I've only had to deal with my two 84's and even then its been 5 yrs since I owned a camaro, although i am looking for a good project to get. Maybe its me, but Direct replacement is, it'll fit and it'll work but work is needed, plug and play is fits works and little to no work needed past installation, but thats me.

Confused: They have the kit as listed as 4004. Yet 4004 according to their website is the product number for their 91-92 kit.

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!
Time for them to step back take a breath and fix the errors and list properly. Simple errors to fix atleast in type, but whatever issues with the parts need to be brought to their attention so they can fix or give better guidance during install in case its mistaken directions for wire up.

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!
I just got an email from them.
The 82-90 units are forsale as you all noticed.
The 91-92 units are not ready yet. They are not happy with the amount of modifications needed to the housing to get them in. He is going to send me one of these to install, test, take pics, etc. While they do some small design changes.
I will discuss with them the "direct replacement" comment and see what they have to say.

Re: 91-92 Digital Cluster.. Its Back!!!
ok, had phone convo with them.......
1. as for ebay auction part numbers, that is typo, they will look into correcting which ever needs corrected.
2. As for "direct replacement". The market they work in this considered when it is car specific and no drilling or major hacking is needed. Swapping parts is still accepted. The temp sensor is because gm changed the sensor over the years, to not do that would require about 5 different setups. The speedo on 82-90 is cable driven, you HAVE to put a sensor in there. The wiring is part of the aftermarket world. The future goal is to make a complete drop in unit, but they need more resources and more time(year or more) for this to happen.
3. 91-92 clusters. ok, They made the numbers larger then before so it would be easier to read. This ended up requiring more hacking on the white part then planned which they are not happy about. Since parts are ordered, circuit boards made. I suggested they still offer them as an alternate part number tell stock is depleted as some people may not care about hacking. They are going to redesign and make a "small number" setup that requires less hacking for final product. So 91-92 will have 2 options for a limited time. You will get to pick from "small numbers" and "large numbers" tell stock is depleted.
4. Birds will be done after the camaros are rolling.
5. He also said each one of these is being hand built, part by part. Thats alot of soldering!!

I do not work for them, I am just helping them out on the camaro side.
They offer individual gauges if you want to make your own cluster. Otherwise, I'm not sure what your asking?
