Fuel pressure gauge questions

Ok here goes as its hard to explain ith out pictures as to what I want to do with my fuel pressure gauge. First of all I have a autometer sport comp fuel pressure gauge I want to mount to my 3" cowl hood. Here is the problems I am having the mest vent when you look at the hod from the inside is just too small to get a gauge in there as it only 2 inches wide and not much room to work with in there. I was thinking of making a bracket that goes from where the wipers are and bending it to go under the hood where it sits on the cowl when its closed and then wrap over the wipers so I can still use them. There is enough room there to still keep it hidden under the front of the cowl hood still and I would have to run the line thru the mesh for the wipers and then drill a hole in the cowl area in the firewall. Has anyone done thos before at all???????? If so can you post pictures as I want to start doing this as soon as possible over the winter.

Heres a couple of pics to make it easier to understand and ignor the dust as my car has been sitting for 3 years now

Re: Fuel pressure gauge questions

honestly, I think you'd be better off mounting the gauge in the car. I get what you're trying to do but I don't think you'll get the desired result.

Re: Fuel pressure gauge questions

Dont really have the rom inside anymore as I reallly dont want to cut into my dash as I already did when I put my rpm/tach gauge in where the cigerette lighter is. Any one got any pics of a gauge set up in a cowl on there car???
