Freshen Up my gauges whatd yall think?

92 gauge cluster that im putting in my 90(tach wasnt working). Swapped and the tach is working now only thing is mileage is different(148xxx instead of 138xxx). So i ordered some leds, white face overlays for 19 bucks and hvac white overlay as well for 14 bucks. I am going to paint the needles black with a red tip. Also painting the back of the black plastic gauge cover a bright silver so the leds really reflect off of it. Ill start posting pics today. Should look good when all said and done. Overall will cost me only 45-50 bucks

I swapped out my bulbs to red LEDs. I really want to see what the black needles with the red tip look like, that would look great.

Ok so i painted the needles black with just a basic black touch up paint i had in my garage. then went to cvs and grabbed a bottle of the reddest nail polish i could find. It turned out amazing. im having trouble uploading pics on my comp but they will be up soon i hope. everyone should consider this. its such an easy mod that really gives your gauges a fresh new look.

Wow, that looks really good. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure I couldn't do something like this on the old style gauges (1983)

im sure its just as easy... the older style gauges would be perfect becuase they narrow up towards the tip and that could be your red and the thicker part your black(or whatever colors you want to use). also they sell both the white faced overlays and leds for the 82-89 camaros....

No, what I was saying the older gauges are only lit from the back, so it would be impossible to see at night.
