86-88(?) Gauges questions
86-88(?) Gauges questions
Hi all, I own an 86 GMC Sierra Classic that I've been somewhat restoring and after the long search for some nicer gauges than the stockers that won't break the bank, I stumbled on some gauges out of a late 80's camaro. 115mph speedometer, factory tach, etc. A lot of guys just switch in the tach in trucks like mine, but I want to use all of the camaro gauges so they all match. I'm going to hardwire all the gauges and do away with the printed circuit on the truck's cluster, but I've ran into a problem. The tach is the only gauge that tells you what pin=what wire. So does anyone here have/know where to find the info on what pins are for what on each of the gauges? I've done tons of searching and haven't found anything that really helps at all. Maybe I'm not searching for the right thing but any info you guys could give me would help.
Thanks

Sounds like you need to look at both wiring diagrams for the truck and the Camaro. Determine how the Camaro gauges are wired and duplicate the connections using the truck's wiring.
