Yep i drove at LEAST 60 miles today but my odometer says i only went 24, now heres the kicker, when i drove what i knew to be one mile, the odometer only went up one mile! the only difference is that i wasnt on the highway, but how could that change anything as far as the odometer is concerned? help??

Watch closely when your odometer turns from "9" back to "0" because sometimes it will hang and just sort of keep skipping on "9" while you are going down the road. Mine happened because it was dirty and gummed up in the gear area of the odometer in the gauge.

I had this happen on some other cars but not a third gen.

Good luck!

Possibly a loose speedo cable.

Usually something like that happens when you change your rear axle gears but don't change the speedo gears in your tranny to compensate for the difference. Or you need to lube your speedometer cable. Hear any noise coming from the dash?

Does your speedometer guage bounce? When parts start getting worn out, speedo cable ect... they will work, but slip causing the guage to bounch and readings to be off.

Sounds like the GM "J" hook debacle. The following is the odometer fix:
