hey i got a 92 camaro hatch pull down was broke and previous owner hacked it up.. i got another one out of a 1991-92 firebird at the local junkyard i couldnt test it on site so i took it out along with like 1ft of wiring just incase.. i wana bench test it.. theres 5 wires in this order

black
black w/ orange
black
black
red w/ white

what wires do what? this suckers totally different than any other year.. on my iroc-z (89) i just yanked one out of 1 crar and bolted it back in but was time consuming... dont wana go through all that so i wana test it on my work bench... so id like to know how, i searched threads but couldnt find much.

im sorta used to no hatch pull down but dislike jerry rigged things its driving me nuts.. so wana return it to stock

heres pix of the unit, ifigured 10 bucks i couldnt go wrong... worth the try.. car looked well taken care of before it got totaled

 

To test the motor operation you should be able to put power onto the red/white and ground to the black wire on the outside of the connector. I'm not to sure what the other three do (still trying to figure those out myself). I'm sure someone else has the answer to those wires.
