Not going to happen (sponsorship) so I will stay out of these threads and anyone who posts about us know that we are NOT sponsors so you could get in trouble...

Re: Overlays (not the usual)

Hey, what needles are you using? Are those from a 4th gen or? I've heard some people say if the needles aren't EXACTLY the same weight that the readings will be off...

Also, take some pics with them lit up! I've been looking for white on black overlays forever, I'm probably going to get a set myself.

Oh, also...These cover the yellow printing right, rather than removing the yellow faces and putting these on instead?

EDIT: just realized that those ARE painted 3rd gen needles, you just painted parts of the base too, looks pretty awesome. I've heard that even the paint can throw readings off though. Is that true? and are 4th gen needles compatible?

Re: Overlays (not the usual)

they are third gen needles. never heard anything about weight. 4th gen needles wont work. you have to remove your old factory overlays and stick these on. itll be a littlw until i can get a lit pic. need to order the leds and finish swappin my motor.

Re: Overlays (not the usual)

Ok, that is AWESOME. I'm definitely getting a set. I sent them a message on the site. That solves two of my problems...One, I don't care what people say, I KNOW the yellow would show through the cheaper ones.

Also, I've been wanting to add an "idiot" light for my second battery that I have hooked up in the trunk and I wanted to make the idiot light look stock. I'll just have him make the overlay with the text I want over the speedo, stick a bulb in one of the empty holes up there and follow the connections to see what I need to hook up the the harness.

Re: Overlays (not the usual)

Hmm, these overlays make the 90-92 Gauges look better. I never liked them before. I wonder how hard it is to swap them into a 89 car.
