Odor Removal

I need some serious help, guys/gals. My car sat for 9 years. Mice attacked it, it smells horrible. I tore out all the interior of my car-carpet, underlay, seats, etc. But, it still smells like mothballs/****. What can I do???? I have all new carpet, headliner, sail panels, etc. to install but don't want them to smell. What can I do to remove the smell???????? Thanks!

I had a costomer car with the same issue. I ended up power washing what i could after i gutting out the interior. And i ended up taking every thing out. then i used c-foam in every little hole i found to seal off all the metal I put down a product called por-15. and replaced almost all new interior peices. it worked great. But was a lot of work

Re: Odor Removal

I used a more simple way with my car since it smelled pretty bad (I never had a problem with it). I went out and bought the product below and I sprayed the entire can in my car before I let it sit again(did this halfway through winter or about one month). The stuff is really strong but it works great so you could spray the whole can and let it sit for about a week and it should be fine. This stuff is STRONG! It stayed on my hands and arms for about 2 days after and there was about a 10 foot radius around my car that smelled like it. But I still recommend it...

Now that I think about it I might want to get another can and stink bomb my winter driver (sisters old car, she had lots of friends that smoked) since I wont need to drive it for a while.

Side note: after letting it sit you should let it air out for a day as well. I did it and it is still overpowering my new air freshners ( I like the smell of black ice just a little bit better).
