Car: 1989 Firebird Formula
Engine: 305 TBI (For now?!?!)
Transmission: Auto-Stock
Axle/Gears: stock
How do I Remove this thing
So I got myself a replacement steering column, now I'm trying to figure out what is holding the old one in...bolts are loose and I can't find my manual...anybody able to help? 89 firebird (auto). prolly some clamp that I have yet to see...but i r lost

It has been awhile, so if I miss something hopefully someone will chime in.
There should be the 2 Bolts under the dash, 3 on the firewall (interior) and there is 1 out under the hood for the actual Steering Shaft. Then just give it a good yank.

Does anyone know where to get a replacement for that steering column gasket that attaches to the firewall?

so clue on the gasket but the other guy was right about all the mounting locations... of course don't forget all the wiring yo uhave to unplug too once you have dropped the column down... I used black silicone when i replaced my column...
