140/145 speedo ???
i have seen many requests and sales of the 145 speedometers on here . i feel 99.5% are wanted just for the "eye candy" effect . how many people really go over 100 mph . (yes , i know some are going to say several times a week) not too many in my opinion . question is can one use the gauge overlays for 145 on a regular 110 speedo and then change the vss or drive gear and get a working speedometer ? seems to me it could be done . but , i could be wrong . (just ask my ex-wives) just a question that has been on my mind for a while . thanks , good luck .

there is no difference in the vss's - there can't be. the 145 speedo works as soon as you swap the cluster, nothing else gets changed. thats how i did it with mine, it worked as soon as swapping the cluster

I have always wondered this too, I thought I read this on here (or I might have dreamed it up) but I thought there was something in the cluster you could change that would make it a 145 mph cluster (with the overlay of coarse) sort of like the board you can change or fix for the tach. But with the 145 mph clusters being worth their weight in gold I would assume it's not that easy, hopefully someone will chime in with some more knowledge on this subject. Btw I would want one for the eye candy effect myself (getting old sucks 10 years ago I would have used the whole 145mph )
