Engine: L31 350
Transmission: 89 700R4
Axle/Gears: 3.42 gov lock
re installing rear hatch trim.
i kinda forgot about this till today but i was never able to re install my rear hatch trim cover thing that goes around the hatch latch and that covers up the spoiler bolts. any hints or tips?

Did you get a replacement piece? Or is it the original one for your car?
It really just fits over and tucks under the rear Hatch weather striping.
Hopefully its a exact fit, if it fits down nicely over the hatch motor and closes then you just scew the plactic nuts in.
But if your talking about the plastic hatch upper cover piece it just scews in.

the upper hatch cover, but i cant get it to slide in or fit back in so i can screw it in.

Is it possible to post picture of part you fitting in? I am a little confused.
I Don't know of a part that wouldn't line up, other then the hatch motor cover.
And that would only happen if its the wrong piece for your car.

open your hatch and look up thats the peice hes talking about and it normally fits right for me never had a problem

it hooks at he leading edge. push it up against the glass and pull back to the rear. its usually pretty tight. then the 2 screws at the corners.
