How much $$ expected for an interior swap???

I've got a '91 RS that I want to do some work with. On item on my list is to basically replace the interior. I want to change the color of all the carpet and upholstery. I basically want it all black, with the seats & door panels having some white accents (i.e. piping & some additional trim). The only fabric I don't want is leather. For anybody who has swapped out their interior, how much did you pay? Any ball park estimates you can give me would be helpful. Thanks.

Here's the idea of what I want... but with a little more white accents on the seats & door panels. & obviously the piping goes all the way around the camaro seats

This right here, will take care of everything: http://semproducts.com/Catalog.asp?prod=190 It's made specifically for interiors, it is flexible and made to retain its color.

I pay 13 bucks a can, but it works perfect. I redid every black plastic piece in my car (including dash pad and entire dash) and it looks excellent. For piping, some quality mask tape (like 3M) will allow you to create your own accents. I'm actually toying with the idea of customizing my door panels. The SEM It works great on carpet too because I obtained a set of gray 4th gen seats that I used liquid dye on, but had to use the SEM spray for the carpet. Speaking of carpet, although a few cans would take care of it, look around on this website as well as ebay. I got brand new carpet - front and back - for $125.00 shipped through this forum.

Thanks man... I didn't even think about going that route but I'll definitely look into it. I called an auto upholstery spot around where I live and described to him what I was looking for and he quoted it at about a $3000 job. Plus I want to put some dynamat down under the carpet and in the door panels & he said that would be about another $400.

I used this Dynomat competitor. It's similar stuff and the price -with free shipping-was perfect. By the way, doing it SUCKS! Expect to spend well over 10 hours to do the whole car (including wiping/preparing surface). It took me closer to 20 hours because once the carpet is out, you'll see that it's nothing but contours and curves. You'll be constantly trimming and cutting.

You can pick up a decent set of plastic for around 100 if you look. Seats and door panels you can search for mr mikes, its like 1200 bucks or so. Carpet is spendy unless you happen to fall upon somebody selling it. Dynomat, cheaper products and a lot cheaper if you install yourself.
