ADDING POWER LOCKS???

I have an 85 firebird base with no power options

Just wondering what really is needed to add power locks??
how much will it cost?
is it an easy job?
anybody done it?

If possible step by step instructions or even a kit?

Thanks a lot guys

I'm considering this also, but, I would hide the switches.

You do need the lock actuator (solenoid?), buttons, wiring, and a way to get from the body into the door (that rubber boot thing.)

I'm actually doing this. I'm saving myself a little aggrivation by not planning on making a power lock button on the door, but rather just having the actuator in the door, connected to a keyless entry system, a lot simpler.

Re: ADDING POWER LOCKS???

I've already done it. Bought a kit on ebay. The hardest part is mounting the actuators to the doors and running the wires.

SPAL makes kits for them . PO of my car had them & power windows installed . check their website , they have pretty good instruction/installation sheets . check them out . good luck .
