89 IROC rear view mirror slipping down

There has to be a easy fix for this. I tried putting a dab of super glue on the metal "ball" to freeze it in place. Worked for a little bit but need a permanent fix.

Ideas?

Yes, that's always an option. This is from my 11,000 mile car so I want to keep the original.

What mirror do you have in it? The auto dimming mirror or a standard mirror?

Have you taken the mirror apart? It's been many years (like 10) since I even opened mine up. Is it the ball at the back of the mirror or in the arm? I'm thinking there is an adjustment screw that you can tighten. Again, it's been awhile since mine was off the car, but the only thing that would make it loose is either it's broken or an adjustment needs to be done. In 11k miles, I'm thinking adjustment. Let me know what you find.

There's no adjustment possible. The arm is crimped around the ball ends.Maybe some red loctite wil do the trick or re-crimp the arm around the ball ends.

the wire for the lights seemed to be kinda tight so I twisted the clamp that holds it to give it a little less tension. We will see if that fixes it.
