I was looking around on ebay earlier today and found supposeably a YELLOW iroc-z dash emblem out of an iroc. Is this emblem a fake? IF not is it rare and why don't you see any of them? what makes it so rare? The title listing on ebay is "1982-1992 Z28 YELLOW IROC-Z CAMARO EMBLEM RARE 1990 HTF " I dont believe the emblem could possibly be worth what the guy is asking out of it..I would love to have it in my car, but I don't want a fake emblem..

Welcome to TGO.

In 90 the emblem was yellow, which makes it somewhat rare. Do a search on site and you'll discover more info.

for the people looking to factory restore a car and have to have it perfect, little oddballs like these are worth it; for the rest of us, not so much so....

 

It'd be worth it to me if my car was an IROC. I would've clicked "Buy it Now" before any of the thus far nine bids were placed.

Then again factory NOS badging is a must for me. Something just feels wrong about the badges being aftermarket.

 

It seems to be getting a lot of attention. hopefully I can get it for around 75 bucks. and Yes nos GM is a must

 

Actually that part isn't NOS at all, I'd pass. I thought it was NOS at first glance.

EDIT: Or, I'd buy it, and keep looking for a NOS one and sell that one when a NOS one came up.

That's asinine for a used part, even to me.

 

I suppose if you had a 1990 IROC and you needed it, it would be worth it. To spend that much and put it on a non-1990 would be silly IMO.

 

I have one of those emblems.I bought it right here in the classified section.Got it for 30 dollars shipped.That guy Fasttoyzgarage is a total rip off.He is on TGO and I believe his name is fast87vert.

 

Damn that is crazy! If I would have know they were worth that much, I would have saved all of my 90 badges when I de-badged it!

 

The Emblem has had quite of action, What are the chances of finding another like it if I do not buy it?

 

Even if you didn't end up needing one. I'd buy it and resell it years down the road. Parts for 3rd gen's are getting INCREDIBLY RARE to find.. Even the simplest pieces are now extinct ESPECIALLY MINT EMBLEMS.

 

I have a yellow Iroc Z emblem and dash assembly.

My dad gave it to me so I guess they're not all that rare or else he would've made some $$$ off of it. lol
