very loose steering column
as title says, i have a loose steering column where the wheel is supposed to tilt. it tilts normally and locks and everything, but there is QUITE a bit of play. i can essentially move the column in a circle. most of the play is up and down. would i need to get a whole new column or can i replace just the part that tilts?

Re: very loose steering column
have you tried tightening the bolts that hold the column in place under the dash, mine were loose after i replaced the heater core, your problem sounds similar to the play in mine, i could move it side to side and up and down alot
