Just picked up black leather seats out of a 2000 SS, seen these on ebay anywhere from 500-900 got the whole set for 300, and the guy only lived 10 mins away. I should be ordering the new carpet in a week or so, still looking for a 6 speed console from a 98-02, already got the ebony door panels to match.

 

Very nice,I really like those seats. I'm thinking about having mine recovered in black with gray accents.Would really like to see it when its done.

wow, very nice score. been watching CL and ebay for something, never been able to find anything that cheap in that good condition

 

theres been a set on ebay with the black leather and gray suede in lay for sale for awhile but they want 900...outta my budget. Have the whole interior stripped right now, waiting on new carpet then i will get these in, looking for a 98-02 6 speed console as well to swap in. ill post pics when i get the carpet.

Why a 98-02 console? Is it better than any other 4th Gen?

 

er' i bought some 4th gen seats. I should have just paid for some Sparco seats from the get go. Definitely not satisfied. You however, did get a great deal... those seats look really clean.

 

Yes. Actually the better console was used from 1997-02. The later design console opened up from the side instead of the front, putting a LOT less stress on the hinge, and therefore you see a lot less of the later ones with broken or missing hinges. The later ones also have a very usable cupholder that flips out from the side (the center mounted cupholder is useless in 6 spd cars as your drink gets in the way of your arm when shifting gears).

 

i like the extra cupholders in the 98-02 console as well, got a great deal on the console from a board member parting a 99Z28.

 

Where did you get those grey and black seat covers?
