Changing power seats to manual base
I have a 1988 IROC with an electric Left Hand seat.
The car has been converted to Right Hand Drive.
If I get the base from a Left Hand manual seat, can I install it on my seat?
Alternatively, could I move the seat wiring over to the Right Hand side and swap the electric/manual seat bases so that the Right Hand (drivers side) has power seats?

Re: Changing power seats to manual base
The wiring can be spliced and extended to reach the passenger side, or, if you check the search engine here, I believe there may be posts on how to wire both seats to be power.
You can take the existing left seat track and put it on your right seat as well, however, although the wires are long enough to reach either side of the seat, you will have to make some modifications to put the seat controls on the right side of the right seat.

Re: Changing power seats to manual base
I had a look at this a few years ago when I had the seats out. From memory, it looked like the bases should swap left-right, but the controls and plastics are handed and would take quite a bit of fab work. Still kind of annoyed GM was too cheap to put in 2 power seats.
