Carpet

Alright. I did a search and didn't find what I was looking for. My question is... Will 4th gen carpet fit in the 3rd gen with little to no modification? My carpet is pretty worn and I found someone selling a 4th gen carpet for cheap in really nice shape.

Re: Carpet

I'm pretty sure no, because I know that our carpets are molded to the shape of our body, and I also know a 4th gen floorpan can't be swapped in, which tells me that though the cars are really similar the body shapes are not the same.

Re: Carpet

I would imagine you could pull your old carpet and just lay it over the 4th gen and see if you have enough to work with. Then it should be just a matter of cutting to fit and using a steamer to form it to the shape of the floor. This coming from someone who has never done it of course, so the usual legal disclaimers apply!!

Re: Carpet

Thank! I kinda thought it wouldn't be a direct fit. I will save up for a direct or a good used one from the correct vehicle.

Re: Carpet

the only part i hear them talking about and reading about is that the front floorboards are different. but nothing a little heat and forming wont fix.
