Seat Fabric Patterns

Hi,

I'm keen on a custom design for my interior and have found a trimmer who will custom make some leather seat covers to my design.

His suggestion was to take the existing seat covers apart and cut new panels based on the old ones by tracing and cutting around them.

Out of curiosity, is it possibly to be a copy of the seat fabric patterns used by the factory to make the seats?

If available, I would have thought the original fabric panel patterns would be more accurate.

Re: Seat Fabric Patterns

yes! if he is going to use the old pieces as patterns then it will look good imop. that way the seat set up will be copied and be custom.

Re: Seat Fabric Patterns

The factory must have had patterns, but I can't find them anywhere. Couldn't find the seat material patterns in the Factory Service Manual or using Google.

You'd think with millions of third gen cars around that these seat patterns would be used to mass produce replacement seat covers.
