Carpet fading (anyway to make new carpet fade faster?)
So, I bought some carpet (for my sub box) by the yard from ACC to match my interior carpet that I replaced about 6 months ago. I however didn't take into account just how much the cargo area carpet in my car has faded from the sun in the past 6 months.
The new carpet of course matches the well area perfectly, but the part under the glass in the cargo area is quit a bit lighter. Is there any methods I can use to fade the new carpet to match faster? If not I'll just have to buy a new section of cargo carpet again so that they both match lol, but was trying to avoid having to do that. I suppose I could drive around with the new carpet covering the cargo area carpet for another 6 months.... but I'm not that patient! lol

hmmm, you might try washing it in a light mix of laundry detergent and letting it sun dry. Just a guess though.

And tint those windows to keep the rest of the interior from fading so easily.
