Re: Pass power seat?
Done a bit of searching on this, I don't believe so, not that I've found. Mine is a RHD conversion, so my passengers get the nice seat - I want one too!

Re: Pass power seat?
No power passenger seats available on either generation. However, cars with the Ultima seats still had power LUMBAR on the passenger's side (actual seat movement was always manual though for passenger).
Re: Pass power seat?
both did have power passenger, but it was VERY rare. i had an 88 GTA with power, and i have seats in my 1987 out of a 2000 camaro that have power both sides. However, the seat movement back and forward was manual.

Re: Pass power seat?
Not 100% sure on 3rd gen's, but I am about 99.999% sure that there was not a power passenger seat available on a 2000 Camaro. I worked at a Chevy dealership when they were new, did a TON of research on them and nearly ended up buying one before I decided to get a T/A instead. Also there's no mention of a power passenger seat option in any 1993-02 Camaro in the Camaro White Book. Only power driver's side.
Prove me wrong with a photo though if you've got one!

Re: Pass power seat?
It looks like your seats came from a 1998-02 Trans Am -- 4th gen Camaro seats were not available with adjustable headrests or lumbar controls (which is why I always thought the T/A seats were wayy better).

Re: Pass power seat?
yes, they were all manual back/forward. so this is as fancy as they got. so whether they are worth looking for.... is up to the individual. I find the 4th gen seats are MORE comfortable and supportive than the 3rd gen seats, and they do bolt right in. (unless you get the lumbar support, then MAKE SURE you get the crossover harness!) But the 3rd gen GTA seats were pretty nice as well.

Re: Pass power seat?
Yep. Basically the GTA/Ultima/TA seats were the same from 1987-02, with the exception of 4 design variations:
1. 87-92: power lumbar (both sides), manual front to back movement (both sides), gigantic 4 way adjustable headrests, adjustable lower front cushions, no power whatsoever except for lumbar controls
2. 93-95: power lumbar (both sides), power 6 way adjustable movement (driver side only), large 2 way adjustable headrests, adjustable lower front cushions
3. 96-97: power lumbar (both sides), power 6 way adjustable movement (driver side only), large 2 way adjustable headrests (although some 1997 models received the smaller 98-02 style headrests), fixed lower front cushions
4. 98-02: power lumbar (both sides), power 6 way adjustable movement (driver side only), small 2 way adjustable headrests, fixed lower front cushions
IMO, the 87-92's are the best since they have no power motors to break, have much larger and much more adjustable headrests, and also the adjustable lower front cushion.
Availability:
1987-92: standard on GTA's, not available on Formula or Firebird, apparently optional on Trans Am (although I've never seen a T/A that had them)
1993-97: available on all Firebird models (at least from 1993-94; can't find enough evidence to prove that they were available on Firebird/Formula past 1994)
1998-02: optional on Trans Am's, not available on Firebird or Formula. Note that although leather seats were now standard on all 1998-02 Trans Am's, many of them still got base leather seats and not the "Ultima" leather seats with the lumbar controls and side/back plastic trim.

Re: Pass power seat?
So it looks like there isn't any power passenger seats? Bummer. What's the possibility of putting the power unit from a driver seat onto the passenger side, and just swapping the tracks? Assuming the tracks would even fit.
So can you get Trans Am driver seats in power lumbar AND power tracks? I've only ever seen one or the other. If so, does anyone have any pictures of the side controls that show both lumbar and power tracks?

Click on the link in post #10 above. the 1st pic on te left shows a seat with both.
Re: Pass power seat?
Having just replaced my drivers seat cushion and having to swap the tracks from one to another- the doner was a passenger seat- it should be easy to pull a set of power tracks from a doner and wire them into the drivers side harness. The controls would have to be switched from left to right, but that is easy, since you just have to bend the harness. The only thing you would need to do is fab up a piece of plastic trim to mount the switches in...

Re: Pass power seat?
I have GTO seats that already have the switches mounted. Just have to wire in. I think I will look for a driver power to fab in.
