Automatic locks are NOT working!!!
Hello everyone, on my 85 Z28 I have automatic locks and when I push the lock/unlock button on the door it makes the noise like its moved the rods on the inside of the door to unlock/lock it. But it just makes the noise and doesn't actually do anything, I have to manually do it.
Anyone have any idea why it would be doing this?

you'll find a multitude of threads about fixing this. Essentially it boils down to having to take the door panels off and hitting everything with de-greaser then re-greasing all the joints. Joined: Nov 2010

You might be able to see your problem without full removal. Gently pull out the door panel from the end that is furthest away from the front of the car. The lower part of the panel is only attached by plastic connectors that hold up without breaking. With a good flashlight you might be able to spot the problem. Won't hurt to try. Its worked for me
