Digital dash conversion?

So basically, im probably getting into more than i can handle here,

but are there any threads dedicated to converting the "normal" trans am dashes to digital?

On a scale of 1-10, how hard would this be....10 being hardest....

fyi, I have an 85, the dash is a 87 digital one....

any thoughts?

Re: Digital dash conversion?

There are a quite a few threads here in regards to this kind of swap, but they don't go into much detail on the swap itself. I'm looking to the same eventually and from what it seems the most important thing about an analog-to-digital conversion is that you cannot reuse your analog wiring harness, it has to be specifically from a digital dash. Also from what I'm aware of, there are a lot of sensors that need to be had to wire the digital information center. There's probably more, like I said there are a bunch of threads that outline this kind of swap, just search "digital dash swap".
