Re: ez cool insulation
I installed it in my car. Easy to do. Just cut it to fit and hold on place with some 3M spray. There is definitely a noticeable difference in the amount of heat I had coming off of the trans tunnel and through the shifter boot. There is a link on the site to a guy who did a test on its insulation properties. It will definitely will help keep the cabin cooler. As for the sound deadening quality I can not say, because I installed a much quieter exhaust on my car during the restoration. I figured for the price you cant go wrong. If you don't like it its a only a days worth of work to take out and put in dynamat or similar.

Post your results when done with the install, if you go this direction.

Re: ez cool insulation
Hi, I've been doing some research on the EZ cool and thought I'd jump in here and ask a couple questions before I go and buy some.
Im in the process of putting in a new interior in my car, so I figured, why not go floor up and just go all out.
I will be going to Lowes and buying the Peel and Seal sound deadener and rolling that on, but I also would like to add this EZ Cool insulation. I will be getting my AC fixed for the first time in 5 years and having the cabin as cool as possible would be great.
I dont see a problem wit just putting the ez cool over the matting, but maybe I'm looking at it wrong. Does that sound like a solid plan? Also, I'm looking to reduce road noise, does EZ cool help in that area any?
Any response would be much appreciated. This is my last step. I cant wait to tear my car to pieces!
