hatch pull down

Engine: 5.0
Transmission: 700r4w/shift kit
Axle/Gears: 10 bolt
hatch pull down

i have a 88 camaro and my hatch pull down doesnt work and i dont think i can get it to unless i redo the whole thing and i think that is what is making water come in the back i was wondering if i could could take the whole thing out and put in just a regular lock and and make it seal shut

You could,but your risking shattering the glass.I would just fix it, that's less expensive than replacing that glass.

you will find, that we all prefer you repair the pull down unit.as it isnt hard to do.and as previously stated,its cheaper than a hatch glass by far

ok thanks for everything i will try and do that but i think the wiring is all messed up is that hard to fix or rewire
