Parking Brake handle

So my parking brake handle button is rattling like crazy... I have the factory "leather" handle, and its driving me NUTS!!! I have removed it and wrapped the button (what cannot be seen) with electrical tape to take up some of the space, but it eventually comes out.

What have you guys done with this? Is a new handle the answer? I there a method of adjusting the button/handle I don't know?

Thanks

Re: Parking Brake handle

Mine did the same thing and I tried every kind of wrapping/shims method and it only barely ever helped. They seem to just get loose after all these years. I ended up checking the JYs for a complete mechanism that wouldn't rattle when tapped back and forth, found one, and replaced. Now I'm good. Kind of a pain to do but worth it.

Not what I wanted to hear dude! Thanks man.

I'm gonna keep trying to wedge more stuff in there before I go that route.

Re: Parking Brake handle

Is replacement the only fix here?

Any other ideas?
