Simple dumb question

Hey, husband of the owner here. Got myself an '02 WS6 but the wife got a '91 RS (Z28 conversion) and it's foreign to me. Those three switches behind the shifter (automatic). The right and left are for the windows. What's the center one supposed to do?

Yep. And unlike 4th gen's, they actually open when you hit the switch. My 02 WS6 only fully opens if it's hot outside, or if you pull up on the spoiler while hitting the release switch.

That being said, NEVER slam the hatch to close it in that car like you would a 4th gen. Lightly bring the hatch down until it "latches" about an inch from the bottom. The electric pull-down motor will bring it down the rest of the way. Pretty cool IMO. I guess they did away with it on the 4th gen because too many people that were unfamiliar with the cars kept slamming hatches and breaking the motors.
