questions..

stripping the interior, is there anything i need to watch for? pros? cons?

now..the ebay racing seats
how are they?
do they fit?

i know ill have to drill out holes for the brackets..anything else to watch for?

how about Bride racing seats? how do those fit?

 

My only tip is when you go to remove the center console, take out your radio/HVAC controls and then the pod they sit in before you remove your center console. Other than that, you should have no problems removing your interior.

Oh, and be careful that you don't sit on the seat mount bolts sticking up through the floors! They can cause some hurt...lol. I'm a klutz speaking from personal experience. D'oh.

Um, no. Doesn't work that way. Trying to remove the radio pod before the console is a good way to break the pod (been there, done that... pod was crap anyways so I didn't care). You remove the console first by undoing all of the bolts on the lower section (there's one on the shifter if an auto), slide it towards the back, remove the park brake hand grip and pull the brake lever up, lift the console up at the back, and slide it out from under the radio pod before lifting it up and completely out.

 

What do you mean by stripping,I know your removing the seats what else?

 

carpet..back seats..plastic panels in the back..gonna keep the dash and center console

 

When I did mine,I kept all interior screws in one container and all the nuts and bolts in another.Then I gave them a coat of semi flat before I put them back in.See any surface rust,sand it and coat it,Just really gave it a good cleaning before anything went back in.

I tried using gasoline but that ****stinks,so I bought this stuff called Goof Off,now that **** really works,it comes in a spray or a small lighter fluid type can.The **** in the can works better that the spray ****.
