Need help and Ident. on tee knob removal
Need help and Ident. on tee **** removal
Hi every one. This is my first post.
I have searched thru Google, to try and find out how to remove a tee type shifter ****. I have found a few sites that give some information, but not enough to solve the problem. Some back ground. The 2.8 engine meshed with the t700 R4 ???. Its in a MG, not a Camaro. But I was told the donor car was an 82 Camaro. So I came here, to the guys that know. That's the reason for my post.
I cant find a U clip or any type of mark on the **** that would be a fastener. The **** itself is stuck fast to the shaft, no play at all. It works just fine, but I'd like to go to a round **** similar to a 5 speed Manual.
The whole shifter mechanizim is mounted to the tunnel. Its a cast aliminum affair. Kind a not wanna pull the whole mount just to change out the ****.
Any one come across this type of shifter **** before. How the heck do I remove it? It Might be that its not from a Camaro. I'd appreciate the help. By the way I suspect the donor and the MG are Canadian since birth. If that makes a difference.
Thanks Chris
