How do I tighten dash?
How do I tighten the dash on a 87 trans Am? It's loose and shakes badly. I just dont know how to tighten it.

If you mean the dash cap, there should be some screws in the fronts of the defroster openings on the top near the windshield, and several under the front lip nearest you pointing upwards. That's all holding it on and tightening or replacing them should do it unless you're missing the foam pads under the dash pad

yeah there are several little 7 mm bolts/screws that loosen up over time. i took my pad off and most of the bolts were loose. another thing i will be doing is buying some headliner material and placing it under things that rattle...like the pad and the a piller trim and other things
