Seat Foam Cleaning
Seat Foam Cleaning
I just got new seat covers for my 91. Before I put them On, I would like to clean the seat foam. Is there a good way to do this? Can I just fill the bath tub with water and oxy clean and soak them for 15 min or so, then let the water drain out of them and let them sit in the sun to fully dry??

Re: Seat Foam Cleaning
I'm not so sure that there's a "good" way to clean seat foam...I guess it depends on the current condition more than anything else. Seat foam tends to dry out and rot from heat cycling over the years...I know for a fact that there would be nothing left if I tried to clean mine.
I'm guessing you have an odor problem with your foam? I can't imagine you'd be worrying about getting a stain out of it as I would assume you will be re-installing seat covers back over it. Maybe try some Auto Febreze?
