New Carpet backing
Hey guys, I tried searching for carpet backings but didn't find too much other than it's possible to use regular carpet padding as long as its water proof.
I'd really like to use something like Dynamat but it is just ridiculously expensive. I'm looking for options to put down under the carpet that I am buying from 1Aauto. I'm not worried about sound being a problem, just would like a little padding.
Only thing I am worried about would be heat from the exhaust, etc under the car affecting a regular carpet padding.

Re: New Carpet backing
I lined the back hatch area in something like Dynamat that I found on ebay called FatMat. It works pretty well and doesn't cost an arm and a leg to buy compared to Dynamat. It might be worth looking into.
