Finally got my 2000 SS seats

Took a while with the container shipping and all. I already had brand new looking 3rd gen vinyl door panels. The seats are a pretty good match although the color is a tad darker. Still looks a million times better than the old seats and best of all, these sit a lot lower than the old electric seats. I have so much more leg room now and don't have to wrestle my leg under the steering wheel and sit with my head against the headliner if I don't recline the seat to almost a sleeping position

The black arm rest are purposely done! I ahve the gray ones but not the little bolt covers and I like these better because they match the black **** panel and other black parts in the interior.

Still ahve to get the proper seat belt guides, these 3rd gen ones don't fit right

Re: Finally got my 2000 SS seats

This is my daily driver, the gray one. The red has charcoal 4th gen seats w/ headrests (electric & lumbar), the TA gets the recaro CS sportsters, the white Iroc is stock cloth high back equipped and will remain that way.

This car:

I've steadily been updating this thing. I still have a new retrofit T56 for it that I will install as well as a floor mounted tq arm and some other upgrades (tubular rear lower control arms)

I already swapped a bunch of stuff on it..it's got

9 bolt rear with PBR brakes
C5 front brakes w/ Baer Eradispeed 2pc rotors
Koni shocks all round
Alston SFCs
Founders CC plates up front
N10 dual cats from later car
4th gen interior
vinyl door panels
Completely redone dashboard/console with new or as good as new plastics and gauges
19x805 and 19x9.5 wheels w 265 and 295 rubber
Grant steering wheel
New headliner, recovered... new sunvisors
Rebuilt top end on the engine.
Bosch III injectors
Aluminum drivesahft

Still need to swap out the stock exhaust manifolds for some headers and get rid of the air junk but my other DD is a write off and I don't want to daily drive any of my other cars in fear of them getting banged up.

Re: Finally got my 2000 SS seats

Daily Driver's are life savers when I first join the boards I didn't have one, and would be sweating bullets when doing repairs and mods on the weekends that took more than one day, cause I needed it for work on monday lol

But it's def. Nice to have a F-body as a Daily driver, I have a fourthgen Ws6 for mine. It's just a bummer to have to put that many miles on the car over the years, but Man I enjoy it everytime I drive it

It looks sharp, I've been working on my vortec and hsr stealth ram swap.I've hit major problems, with the fuel rails and intake issues. (But it's getting resolved but next week, Summit is swapping them out for me.) But Yeah after working on the Iroc, I want to put Long Tubes on my Ls1. It's nice to have a hot rod as a daily Driver. Keep up the good work.

The pick up in the back is now also in pieces LOL. Tore the front end off because of firewall rust, now I'm installing a black powdercoated serpentine system (partly off the 82 TA) to eliminate the annoying P.st. pump squeel ad get rid of the v belts...and I have a spare P600B bracket and stuff for a procharger...and it's designed for that drive system... uh oh LOL

Re: Finally got my 2000 SS seats

Finally...finally my interior is DONE! I waited 5 months for the reupholsterer to finish my headliner LOL. When I got the headliner back he forgot to do the sunvisors, when I initially got those back they were a different color so he had to redo them and that all took nearly 5 months. Complete insanity but the result is excellent. It really cleans uo the car. This is the original liner that I repaired where it was coming apart and the guy padded itt with foam and put the new fabric on. Chose this way because I am not impressed by my hard plastic liner in my red camaro. It doesn't fit anywhere near as well as the stock one, the contours are different (looks like T top headliner with the t tiop holes filled in??? found out the hard way that the center console doesn't fit..holes in headliner and nothing to put over it..uh oh!!!)

So, interior done, (well...not really, still have to swap the belt guides...have the correct ones @ a buddies in the US, still need to be shipped to me) brakes done, rear axle/susp. done, front susp. done... now all I need is to find some time to swap in the new retrofit T56 I have for it and the tunnel mountd tq arm...oh and build a new engine, lt headers, new exhaust system... LOL these damned cars are never done.

IMO it came a long way

Your interior looks amazing! Where did you purchase the doors and vinyl door panels? How much did it set you back?
