Possible to put 3 point seatbelt for the backseats?

I have a 86 Transam (T-top) with just the lap belt for the back seats. When I bought it loooooong time ago I was single and didnt worry about the back seat. Now I have a wife and a kid (the TA is not a daily driver) and it would be nice to have the option of bringing them with me when I go to car shows.

Is it possible to fit 3 point seatbelt to our cars, from younger 3rd gen, 4th gen or aftermarket?

I had an 81 silverado that I was able to do that to, I was surprised to find the upper mounting points already there. If an 81 pickup truck already had the mounting points I'd say there's a good chance that a Transam would, but only way to know for sure is to start removing interior panels and take a look!

Yes you can do it, but some work is required. First you need to find a 89-92 doner car in the pick-a-part yard. Then you'll need to cut out the mount for the upper seatbelt mount from the doner car. Also grab the interior trim pieces that surround it, since those are also different than your current trim pieces. Now you'll need to weld in the upper belt mount to the inner rear fender as it was on the doner car. I've done something similar to swap the inner reinforcement piece that mount behind the socket that the cargo shade lock into to swap them into a car of mine that didn't have it.

If I have to get so much from a donor car then I cant do it. I am from Iceland and there is no way for me to find a 89-92 donor car over her

But thanks anyway
