It is a silver/grey stitch. I like it because it doesn't stand out as much as white.

I'll make sure not to post pictures of the rear seats that Ron is now working on. They will match the front. I know you don't need any help spending money.

Go ahead and post them when you get them. I need something to drool about on the site You are setting the bar very high sir, and hope that when it is all done you get the global recognition it deserves. Amazing car!

Re: Recaro seat adapters.

The little details - stitching match on lid and boot make all the difference and really bring the whole thing together in one coherent whole.

Thought of using same leather material in the door panels, too?

Brian

I've considered wrapping the arm rest as well, but ease of cleaning, don't want a seam in my palm, and will it stay tight are all considerations I stayed away from.

Re: Recaro seat adapters.

Panel has been sitting on wire racking for months, and panel is a little loose as handles will tighten-up when attached.
Took all of the dove grey out of the interior and replaced w/black leather.
When I was at a frame shop one day, owner came out and said, "you have really nice lines on this car. You should tint the windows to keep the eyes from being drawn into the interior and not out on the body lines of the car." The dove grey seats tended to do that. I'm hoping that darkening up the interior will accomplish what he was talking about w/out tinting (undecided on that).

Thanks. The door panels will use the same material. I have not yet figured out how they will look. Those are some time in the future.

I do plan to do the arm rests as well. I share your concerns though.

Re: Recaro seat adapters.

Project update.

I have received matching rear seats from my interior guy. I like the match. We are now working on door panels. I will have to share some concepts.

The shade of black looks a little different in the pictures, but its just the lighting.

Those look amazing John! Wow totally love it. Your car has so many things to drool over.

Do you think that some bolstering on the rear seats could be possible?

It is possible I'd imagine. You mean for looks or function? Nobody will ever sit in my rear seat.

I have enough money in these seats, I don't need an excuse to spend more.

Re: Recaro seat adapters.

The match looks excellent!
For the door panels - black fabric or leather; entire redo or subtle?
Here's better pics of my attempt. Will talk to upholsterer this winter to see how the armrests could come out. I like the idea of leather where there is contact: seats, lid, armrests, and panel right above.
Any ideas on textures?

That looks tasteful to me.

I plan to install speakers in the doors so I am up for a complete re-do. I don't have a good feel of what will look good, so I am taking it slowly. I have a door panel and the arm rests at the upholsterer that did the seats. He said the arm rests are no problem. I trust them, they do amazing work. They will be covered in the same leather as the seats. They will fill the groove in the arm rest first.

The speaker pod will be built out about 1.5" in the bottom front corner. My plan is to make the pod to look like the rest of the interior, lots of sharp edges. The extension piece that extends the entire length of the door will be 0.5-0.75". The speaker grill be the whole 1.5" trapezoidal section. I don't know where the tweeter will go yet. Materials will include leather, alcantara, and probably carpet. I just don't know where yet. I am also toying with the idea of making a black anodized aluminum trim strip to separate the the top and bottom portions of the panel. Here is an early concept. The pod is light in color for clarity. Everything will be some shade of black.

Post #27 has the originals that I had in my '87, that came out of a T/A. They're essentially the same rails with a U-shaped adapter that bolts to the bottom of the seat.

Good question, I've never even seen a 'Hawk in person. If the bolt patter on the SRD is the same as the LS/LX, it'd bolt right up though.

I know it’s an old thread but are you still making these?
