Re: manual shifter ****
It seems as though everyone feels they are stuck with the round ball shifter ****. For that basic style the best I seen for a T/A is the white embossed bird **** from Hawks.
I have one idea I am going to try. Haven't seen or heard about it anywhere yet. I wanted to be the first but I will share it, at least I can say it was my original? idea.
Modifying a 70's Firebird auto shifter **** and using the 77-81 red bird push button. Mount it with the push button down all the time and not loose. It would look perfect with what I want for the interior of my 'Bird. Is this worth a PATENT? lol
Considering it is a screw on **** almost anything can be made to work from almost any standard trans car.

Re: manual shifter ****
When I was in high school, I drilled & tapped an 8 ball to use as a shift ****. It worked extremely well. It was nice and heavy like an aluminum ****, but it didn't get to 300 degrees in the summer and -300 degrees in the winter like my aluminum ***** do.
I've seen other guys use whatever color billiard ball matched their exterior, which I thought was a good idea too.

Re: manual shifter ****
I like the hurst white que ball *****. I have one, as well as a sidewinder **** when I have the line lock hooked up.
I cut the shifter shaft down about 2" and welded in a more common mustang thread 12x1.75 in grade 8.
