determining original carpet color
determining original carpet color
Hey all I have a 90 iroc z and a mouse got inside.....needless to say it might be easier to just replace the carpet but im unsure of what the exact color is called.....It looks silver.....
Is there anyway to tell by numbers somewhere what the color was or what colors came thru this year?

Check your RPO codes, most likely it's a shade of Gray.

Re: determining original carpet color
Well your 821-822 is your trims and they are shades of gray. usually the carpet is the same color as the seat trim.

Re: determining original carpet color
Replacement carpets are not 100% identical to stock no matter what the seller tells you. There's only one major manufacturer of aftermarket carpet (ACC), and their materials & inks are different than stock. They have multiple colors that are very close to your stock gray, but which is "best" can be subjective. Often the color that is closest to the original carpet isn't what actually matches the rest of the interior the best, due to variations in all of the other materials. Find a seller that is willing to send you a few samples so that you can choose for yourself. That's the best way to assure that you get exactly what you want.

Re: determining original carpet color
Get the samples directly from ACC. The dealers send tiny little swatches. ACC will send you the biggest swatches. You can still buy from who you want, but their samples are bigger.
