Custom dashes
I'm looking at learning how to use bondo and figured I'd go to a salvage yard to pull one out of a camaro there. then hopefully use it to swap out for my crappy cracked one. I wanted to see if any one else has piddled in this area and has anything custom. I've seen one thread a while back where one of the members had done this but didnt knpw if anyone else has and had any tips or pics.
So post 'em if you got 'em

Re: Custom dashes
Yea, that's the one I mentioned that I saw. It's awesome. I just do not know much about all the materials, what to do, and how to use them.

Re: Custom dashes
Well if you are going the fiberglass route I would sand it down well to where it is rough to the touch, spread a thin layer of resin, then apply fiberglass cloth, more resin spread evenly with bush, make sure the cloth is saturated completely, (also be sure do do this before resin hardens....then you can start the sanding process from there or you can use a layer of bondo such as I did ..and then you have to sand, sand, sand until you are satisfied with how it looks/feels...then you can paint, either with truck bed liner, auto paint etc.
