I need this part if anyone knows where to find it. If this part is defective, you lose control over where the air comes into the cabin of the car, in my case everything is blowing through the defrost vents no matter what the selection is on.

The Four Seasons part number is 36692 and the Delco part number is 15-71548. I've looked all over the internet and local parts stores and it's not available.

It looks something like this (stock photo from amazon.com)

And it bolts to these two screw holes where I'm pointing.

This shouldn't be hard to locate; as long as you don't mind used. Try Don (member 89irocz355). He's always parting cars, ships quickly and coincidentally, he just listed a 92 here: https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/engi...92-camaro.html

You might consider a fix:

Also check www.thirdgenranch.com
Send Denny a e-mail and ask about a used one.
I don't see any listed there so e-mail is best.

You could buy this at a parts place for as long as I can remember. It must have been recently discontinued. I would try the fix JamesC refers to. It seems like a permanent solution to a common problem.
