Seat cushion interchangible L to R

I'm getting ready to replace the seat covers in my convertible, and the drivers seat has some pretty severe foam damaged in the inner welting area. I'm sure I could stuff it, but I have a good passenger side bottom from my parts car...

Question can the front seat bottom be exchanged right to left? Obviously the seat frame and covers will be off, so just the foam.

Here is what I'm working with...

Yes the foams are identical, the cover should be symmetrical as well.

Thank you. I was unsure from when I recovered the seat bottoms on the 91. Thanks again!

I swapped both the foam base and back, even the cloth covering from a passenger-side to drivers-side. I did have to use a iron patch inside to cover the hole for the seat release.

Re: Seat cushion interchangible L to R

I replaced my drivers seat bottom with a passenger one from a junk yard, although I think the 20 year old foam is collapsing on that one as well (only 185 lbs, in case you were wondering!), so it might be time to buy new foam. Classic sells it I believe...
