I'm currently in the process of having some leather seat covers made from Katzkin. The company that's placing the order for me is called SAR interiors. I chose this company because they have the least markup. My total bill for the front and rear seats came to $800 which includes free shipping.

Now here's the problem: SAR asked me to send them pictures of the seats so they could send them to Katzkin so there won't be any problems with my order. I currently don't have my car... it's in another state being restored, The pictures I sent them were of some I got off of the web.

Here's the email I just got from SAR:

Quite frankly, I don't quite understand why Katzkin needs all of these detailed photos, because I know they've made these seat covers before and should already have a pattern on file. Anyhoooo... can someone please help me out by taking detailed photos of the bottom seat cushion, the front, back and sides of the headrest and then post the photos here please? I'd truly appreciate the help.

 

carlos,just go to the Forum Jump and hit the "Forum Search" and type in GTA Seats,theirs a lot of pic there.

 

It sounds like they don't know that 3rd and 4th gens are...well....3rd and 4th gens. All factory 3rd gen GTA seats are exactly the same. They wouldn't need the photos if they knew their F-Bodies. Only thing I can figure is possibly they have so many customers trying to recover 4th gen seats that have been added to 3rd gen cars in cases where the owners don't know they've been added.

Your lower seat cushion is completely adjustable (whereas it isn't on 96 and newer cars).

Your headrest moves forwards and backwards (whereas they don't on 4th gen's).
