These seats came in a '38 Chev I bought and I was going to replace the foam in the left seat. I was told they were from a '78-88 Cutlass and ordered foam for that seat. Today I removed the upholstery and the foam is completely different. Now I'm told they may be form a 3rd gen F-body but I can't find any pics of a seat like this. It is all cloth and the cover for the recline hinge is also matching in a velvet type covering. I can see an imprint on the side of the headrest where they did have a hook or loop for a shoulder belt too.
Any help with what they are out of will be appreciated...

Re: Need help IDing seats
They appear like 2nd gen Camaro Seats,it looks like the head rest is all one piece.

Re: Need help IDing seats
Mine are at least '78 or newer. The headrest is a different shape and the back is all cloth with a zipper closure. The replacement upholstery vendors list the zipper covers for some 3rd gens. I haven't found any f-body seats that are all cloth, so it's confusing.

Yes, those are the basic third gen buckets, came with many variations in color, pattern and materials. Many pictures on this forum.
Hawks has them:

I have the same seats in my 83 Z28 identical in design to your pics but mine are gray. I think they were standard seats in the 82-83 Fbodies.

Ding, ding.....we have a winner. I got a positive ID from working with Alex at PUI and their seat gurus. They are from an 82-83 Berlinetta, since they are all cloth and no vinyl. I got new foams and have Grey upholstery coming from PUI to rebuild them.

Thanks...

Re: Need help IDing seats
PUI doesn't sell directly to the public. Once we knew what I needed, I ordered the upholstery from a local dealer. The dealer happened to have the foams on hand because of a return situation, so I got a smoking deal on them...

Re: Need help IDing seats
I just finished them Friday. What a PITA !! I'll never buy pre-made foam again. None of the wire stays in the foam were where they needed to be to match the originals or attach the listings. I spent a LOT of extra time butchering the heavy rods that are re-used for the new upholstery to get them to work with the ill fitting foam. The upholstery itself wasn't made exactly like original and has fitment issues as well. The seats are done and I will use them for a while but I really regret not having them rebuilt by the shop that made my headliner.

Here's the passnger seat. It looks OK at first glance.

The tabs sticking out at the bottom of the cushion should have been sewn on the full length. Here's a few pics of the poor quality of fit.

The tabs on the back of the backrest are not correct either and stick out like wings instead of folding down out of sight.

Return shipping for the 3 boxes would've been $100 out of my pocket.
