Defrost grid pigtail question

PO removed most of the wiring from the back of the car. The defroster grid pigtails included. Living in lovely Colorado, I need those back. Here are shots of each side of the grid. What I need is advice on fixing these. I realize it's just a large electrical circuit, so can I just remove paint/tint until I get bare metal, and use some conductive glue and a tab, then just make my own wire to the struts? In the pics, you can see on the passenger sidewhere the tab was on the glass, but not the driver's. Any advice is welcome.

Re: Defrost grid pigtail question

the passenger side you can see where the wire was attached to the grid for the defroster and then the other end to the strut. the driver side just make sure it is touchiong the metal defort grid and you sould be good. You can make your own pretty easy like you said. Is the one on the passenger side that attaches to the body there?

They weren't, but I made new ones. Was just concerned about connectivity with the grid.
