where are common areas where build sheets are found

where are common areas where build sheets are found
i have heard they are under a seat, under the carpet, or between the bumper cover and bumper. are these true and are there other areas? i am searching for mine in my 1984. were these areas year specific etc. anyone have answers?

I found one in the truck area under the carpet. I cant believe they would put them under there. So dumb. Throw them under the center console or on top of the hump to the rear of the car

well i found mine under the driver side rear seat, under the carpet and insulation. this one was 86.

I found some of mine under the drivers front seat. It was between the wire support and the foam of the seat. I have an 83 Z28.

Found one under the carpet on top of the tank hump. That was an 82 Z28. Found another behind the plastic over the rear wheel well on the drivers side. Think that one was an 83. Not all cars have them. It's possible to get one from another car too.

Mine was under the foam on the driver's seat on an '84 Z28 L69/T5 made in Van Nuys.

Under the drivers seat on mine but totally shreded to bits. I wish I could have saved it.

I will be looking for mine this spring , I'll start with the drivers seat as that seems like the most popular spot ,
But i have a question , What can the build sheet tell you , That the RPO sticker does not . Sorry if thats a stupid question.
