Re: VIDEO - How to take your rear seats out
Nice vid! The only thing I think you should have mentioned was the pivot pin needing to be removed to install the 4th gen rear seat back. Or are you doing a separate video on installing the 4th gen seat?
Either way, you'd be surprised how many people look to youtube for help with even simple tasks. Most people can look at it and figure it out quick, some like to see it done. Nothing wrong with that. And there are certainly a lack of good thirdgen DIY videos out there.
Ive started doing videos too. Mostly started with my LQ4 build, but Im going to branch out into LS1 swap videos, and other thirdgen related content. ALong with the rest of my crap that I video. If it helps someone, it makes it worth it!

Re: VIDEO - How to take your rear seats out
That's a video that I would be more interested in watching. Even though I agree with the statement above that removing the rear seats looks quite simple, I applaud your effort to help others who may not be as mechanically inclined.

Re: VIDEO - How to take your rear seats out
hey man -- the naysayers can pound sand. I appreciate the video. I've pulled the interior out of my 88 iroc.. I'd love to upgrade to 4th or even 5th gen seats.. are the fronts direct bolt ins? no mods? thx!!

Re: VIDEO - How to take your rear seats out
^ thank you..sorry for getting back to this thread this late..
The only issue i had with the fronts were that they both had little wheel locks on them, which i made quick work of (as seen in the below video)..The other thing was that I had to drill out the hole a little on the driver side track where the track stud goes through..other than that the 4th gen seats were a great fit and a major improvement imo..
Ps..please check out my thirdgen channel (i have over 145 vids) and subscribe for free..just search for klowny1969

Re: VIDEO - How to take your rear seats out
I dont remember any modifications at all to fit fourth gen rear seats in my car. It may be because they were both one piece seatbacks?

Re: VIDEO - How to take your rear seats out
I installed 4th gen seats in mine and I just left the pin in. the cushion on the fourth gens just pushed in a little where the pin is and once installed are unnoticeable.

Re: VIDEO - How to take your rear seats out
The front seats were are direct bolt on, nothing to do all. I just removed the 4 bolts and removed old seats and installed the new ones. I did need to run a 12volt wire so I could hook up power to the new seats, old ones were manual.
