3rd Gen Taurus SHO seats
Anyone know if dimensionally they will fit our 3rd Gens?
These things are VERY comfortable, and have a set of bolsters on them. I would like to try these in my IROC, not sure if someone else has already tried this.
They are large, but man are they comfy.

Look at how they attatch to the floor as that could be the sticking point. Our stock seats sit very low, rasing them up much could put your head close to the roof.

I am aware the seat frame would have to be modified. I am tall, hence my screen name... they would never be raised :-)

Not low enough, which is why a lot of us tall people put 4th gen seats in. Not only more comfortable but also gets our head out of the headliner.
If the width will fit, measure the space in the 3rd gen then measure the seat, then I say go fo it. Nice looking seats.

Re: 3rd Gen Taurus SHO seats
4th gens sit lower??? omg i need 4th gen seats then. my 93 yukon seats were too high so i put my black thirdgen ones in and now everyone who sits in it is surprised at the amount of head and leg room as well as it being more comfortable than the stock seats minus arm rest that is.
The 4th gen seats are a 100% direct bolt-in but if you go with power seats you'll hafta redo the plugs, but no bit deal there.

You would have a better chance trying to squeeze in Bonneville seats which are similar to those. There's always leather grand am gt seats from the early 90s and up to check out. The earlier ones bolt right in. I say these because they are cheap, plentiful and look stock.

The Bonnie seats look good! You could always do the rear seat delete if worse came to worse.

Re: 3rd Gen Taurus SHO seats
I glanced over the seats in person and did some rough measurements on the seat bottom and seat back... it will be snug but should fit. Only hurdle I see now is the seat frame assembly. Power driver's seat and power lumbar. Passenger seat is manual but also has the power lumbar feature

Technically you could leave stock grey leather in the rear. Those are easy to get. I can't count how many times I went to the yard and both front seats were taken with the rears still there. Factory dark grey rears will go with any other black/grey seat.
