but mine don't work. what can I do to get them to function.
its the only thing ive found wrong with the car since I bought it and the common leather cracking but that's no big deal
any ideas or info helps

Re: getting my seats to work
First thing's first, check the fuses. If no luck there, then it's time to take the seats out. I'd check all the wiring underneath and make sure there are no pinched, frayed, or otherwise damaged wires. If still not working, you might try peeling the carpet back a little to look for damage in the wiring harness that goes to the fuse box. Switches could be bad, but not as likely since there's 4 per seat.
Keep in mind that even when the power lumbar does work, the plastic inflatable bladders are notorious for leaking, so there's a good chance that they won't hold air even if you get the motors to work.

Ditch the seats for some decent racing seats, you can get decent ones for $200 bucks or so. The originals are heavy and how often do you adjust your seat anyways?

Re: getting my seats to work
What exactly is not working.Do they make any sound when the switches are depressed?
Do both sides not work?
Any clicking noises?
There is only one pump for both seats. So if one side works an the other doesn't.Its probably the switch or a relay, there is at least one relay, maybe two, don't recall. There is also a manifold for each seat that diverts air to either the bladders for the sides or the center (lower back) bladder.
Most of the electrical is on the dr seat, but it could be any number of reasons w/out more details.

Re: getting my seats to work
thanks navy02ws6 I figured there was a fuse box to check
ill def check that out and let you guys know
especially if the seats dont hold the air anymore
but its crazy to believe in how great shape the car is in
I found my gta sitting in a junkyard waiting on its death sentence and I got the car for only $2k started right up everything worked except the seats and it surprise me to see so much technology
my 99 firebird is real basic compared to the gta and my 08 Colorado z71 is even more basic
ill post pics
but mmadden55 I want to keep it as original as possible
and I adjust it quite often due to my height trying to find that perfect setting
and when I do get it just right my gf decides to want to drive it and then I have start over

nothing happens no noise, no movement
I just want to see what they do
for now I just adjust it using the levers push it all the way back tilt the front of the seat up and recline the backing just so my head doesn't touch the ttop glass
